Calle Constantina

The brief for this project in Moraira, Spain, was to design a new first-floor apartment for the owners to move into. The apartment would function independently of the existing ground-floor house, which would be used for family and friends who visit long-term. The new floor is designed to be a structural and visual continuation of the existing home, with the exception of a striking steel staircase that hints at the contemporary addition while echoing in form some of the building's original 1980s curvilinear Mediterranean features.

This project is currently on hold due to provincial building regulations.
